The LUNA Pro Team and the Breast Cancer Fund
Since 2002, the LUNA Pro Team has worked to raise awareness for the Breast Cancer Fund.
The LUNA Pro Team also generates revenue for the San Francisco-based nonprofit through various programs including donation of a membership to the LUNA Pro Team during its largest event of the season, the Sea Otter Classic, for the Breast Cancer Fund's annual eBay auction held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This year's auction-winning bid came from Angela Mysliwiec, a West Point graduate from Seattle who placed the highest bid in the four-year history of this charitable event. Angela receives a full complement of LUNA Pro Team equipment including a Shimano, Fox and Mavic equipped LUNA Pro Team bicycle from Orbea. She will be coached through the Sea Otter Classic by Alison Dunlap, and will also attend LUNA Pro Team meetings, dinners and official functions...you know, all the inside stuff.

Her hobbies include cooking, eating, running, cycling and spending time with her husband of 14 ½ years, Vincent. After a year of cheering him on at his races, Angela started racing cyclo-cross in 2005 and looks to add mountain biking to the mix in 2008.
"Every one of my cancer patients is an inspiration to me. Dealing with cancer is a personal experience that requires a strong will and the ability to persevere, much like a bike race. Though I love treating cancer patients, prevention is the only way to truly cure the disease. I'm excited to be able to support the Breast Cancer Fund, and I know that I can do more to spread the word about breast cancer prevention. Getting to be part of the LUNA Pro Team? Well, let's just say that it is icing on a very tasty cake!!!"
