Marla Streb
Two-time U.S. Downhill Champion

Marla is back for another season with the LUNA Team and busier than ever. Not happy with a run of second and third place finishes in national races after spawning daughter Nicoya, Streb hopes to reclaim her National Downhill and Single-Speed World Championship titles. She also has the 24 Hours of Moab, and grueling Ruta de Conquistadores on her 2008 schedule. Marla and her family spend the off-season in Costa Rica, where they're building a mountain bike reserve in a sustainably built residential development in Playa Tambor. Her blog exaggerations can (and should) be sought out on www.mountainzone.com.

What is your most memorable race experience?
"I was having the perfect downhill race flowing at incredible speed as I hit the final 30-foot gap jump it seemed like I was flying forever... all of a sudden I could hear the crowds roaring my name over and over in my helmet saying, 'Marla!' 'Marla!'... what day is it? Can you count to ten? What is the President's name?"
Anything to add?
